The National Home Buyers Association has been created by funds contributed by Donald J. Welsh Ed.D., former Broker/Owner of The Buyer’s Agent Acro Home Buyer Service. Dr. Welsh, Author of “Question the Illusions – A Home Buyer’s Guide to Understanding Real Estate, and a founding member of the National Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents has experienced the lack of knowledge that home buyers have about the real estate industry. Over his 13 years as an exclusive buyer broker he was contacted frequently by buyers who were struggling with contract problems while working with agents that represented the seller.

As a real estate broker, since 1978, Don Welsh has used his experience in the construction industry, as a management consultant, and college administrator to advise home buyers purchasing resale homes and building new homes. Don knows the building standards that should be met and he knows the problems created when these standards are not met. He knows how builders and traditional real estate brokers operate, taking advantage of consumers.

Dr. Welsh serves as President of the National Home Buyer Association. NHBA is a non-profit Corporation incorporated in the State of Missouri. Several Board Members are all home owners that purchased their home under an agency agreement with an exclusive buyer broker. These members are: Nancy Kaywood, manager of a national association, Janelle Davis, a public relations specialist, George Woods a radio talk show hosts, Richard Waldron a financial planner, Mark Dickey a lobbyist, and Austin Van Buskirk an attorney.

The mission of the Association is to provide an opportunity for home buyers to learn how to be wise home buying consumers. NHBA members will be exposed to the impact that NAR (National Association of Realtors, with over 1,000,000 members and annual dues exceeding $84,000,000) has on the real estate industry through its lobbying efforts at the national, state and local levels. Because of the power of NAR all real estate laws protect only the real estate brokers. NHBA members will learn how these laws impact home buyers. It is NHBA’s mission to also provide information which promotes the exclusive buyer agent concept and services.

The more NHBA membership grows, the greater will be its impact on the real estate industry. When our membership exceeds 500,000 and represents thousands from every state NHBA will be instrumental in bringing about needed changes in the real estate market place. We need your home buying history, as requested in the membership application, to gather data about the unethical practices brought to the market place by the power of the National Association of Realtors.
