Find Buyer Agents
When your request for a buyer agent is received we search our data base for an exclusive buyer agent working your requested community. If an exclusive buyer agent is not available an accredited buyer agent (these are agent working with a brokerage that lists homes for sale) is secured from our data base and interviewed to determine the buyer agent standards that they practice. The referred agent will be provided your contact information and we will forward you the contact information on the agent. Payment for the agents service will be a commission paid from the sellers proceeds at closing. There are a few agents that charge a retainer fee up front and reimburse that money at the time of closing on the home. When you request an agent you will help the Association by enabling NHBA to collect a referral fee from the agent’s broker. The fees cover NHBA operation and promotion expenses.
Real Estate Educational Program
Educational topics will provide a thorough knowledge base for your understanding of how the real estate industry functions. The author of the topics is Donald Welsh, a 16 year veteran exclusive buyer broker. Dr. Welsh is also the author of “Question the Illusion- A Home Buyer’s Guide to Understanding Real Estate”.
Home Buyer Certification Program
This program includes an “open book” exam which when successfully completed will prepare a home buyer with the knowledge to be an astute home buyer. An Incentive for participating in the program is a payment of $100 when an agent evaluation on the referred agent is returned, after closing on a home, to Internet Assessments. You will also receive a wallet size “Certified Home Buyer” card.
